Situated at the foot of the Uluguru Mountains, Morogoro is a thriving agricultural hub in southern Tanzania. Located 196 km southwest of Dar es Salaam and 200 km from the capital, Dodoma, this city serves as the heart of vegetable production for the nation. Through a strategic partnership with Sokoine University of Agriculture (SUA) and the Mvomero District Administration, we are conducting extensive research on vegetable and potato varieties best suited to the region. Our programs also provide practical training for farmers and agricultural extension officers, empowering them with the skills needed to enhance productivity and food security across the region.
