As the capital and economic center of Rwanda, Kigali plays a vital role in the country's food supply chain. Positioned at an elevation of approximately 1,500 meters above sea level, the fertile villages surrounding Kigali are crucial in feeding both the city and the nation. Our project focuses on identifying the most resilient and high-yielding vegetable and potato varieties, in collaboration with the Rwanda Agriculture Bureau and the Rwanda-Israel Horticulture Center of Excellence. By equipping farmers with innovative agricultural techniques, we are fostering a more sustainable and productive farming sector, ensuring food security for generations to come.
