Butajira 2014
Tajie grew tomatoes and harvested 5.7 tons from her 0.1 Hectare plot. She earned $1,024 in one growing season, and used the earnings to buy milking cows. Today Tajie is a major milk producer in her region.
“I learnt a lot. Especially about different fertilizers and their application, that was unknown to me before. The good variety that I received allowed me to succeed even with shortage of water. I have enough to feed my family and I am saving for the next year”.
